Amy Pemberton
Partner
Amy graduated from Washington State University with a BS in Business and a dual emphasis in computer science and accounting. She passed the CPA exam on her first attempt, and wrote computer programs at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office for accounting functions and legal applications for four years. She then went to law school at the University of Washington, with an emphasis in the study of tax law. She worked in the taxation division of Deloitte & Touche in Seattle, specializing in real estate matters. She very much enjoyed her work and her peers there, but one of her now partners in McCall advertised a job opening in the Washington Bar News. She was thrilled to move to McCall in 1996 with her husband, Paul, to a challenging and diverse career and to live in an incredible location where some of her family has lived for generations. She truly values her close ties with many long standing clients, as well as the varied nature of her work in McCall.
Amy’s work is mainly focused in commercial and residential real estate law, business law including entity formation, management and transactions, as well as civil disputes, estate planning and probate. Amy has significant experience with drafting governance documents for residential and commercial real estate, including Jug Mountain Ranch, Whitetail, The Hotel McCall, and Tamarack, as well as many smaller projects. She also represents multiple property owners’ associations.
She served as a MCPAWS board member for over ten years, a board member for the McCall Chamber of Commerce for over four years, is currently a board member for the Central Idaho Historical Museum and Yurts to Universities (YurtsToUniversities.org), and has participated in many other community events and projects. Amy enjoys all manner of outdoor activities, including downhill and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, water skiing, mountain biking, hiking, gardening, dual sport motorcycle riding and white water rafting.
